## Decode the VIN

1. Enter **VIN** and the four-digit model **Year** in the top form, then **Decode**.
2. If rejected, correct the values and try again. Use the full 17-character VIN when available; the form accepts 1–17 characters.

## Use the vehicle details

Even when details appear, **Error Codes > Error Text** may explain a partial result. Compare **General Information > Model Year** with the year you entered.

Match the VIN and vehicle details to the registration, title, manufacturer label, or carrier record. Blank fields do not mean missing equipment; decoding does not prove ownership, condition, or coverage.
